Elite Distilleries & Beverrages Co. was set up in February 2000, to take advantage of the opportunity offered in organised liquor sector, controlled solely by the state owned Kerala State Beverages Corporation with regard to marketing and distribution, operating a vendor system for blending with distilleries in Kerala.



Commercial production at the plant at Kiraloor, Mundur from February 2000 with a capacity of 2,000 cases per day, presently standing at 6,000 cases per day. EDB is also involved in contract manufacturing for USL (now acquired by Diageo) for the Kerala market.



Assured demand, sharing the market volume of sole selling agency in the state - KSBC, from 97.08 lakhs cases valued at Rs 1,848 crores in 2002-03 to nearly 4 crore cases valued at Rs. 7,000 crores in 2010-11.
